Training

The training & development of our employees, and the ongoing commitment that we have to training ensures that we maintain a high level of expertise within our workforce. Our low staff turnover is the result of our employees working together to provide customer satisfaction.

Many of our customers use our services repeatedly, and this is due to the continued high standard of workmanship that our dedicated employees maintain. Training is a critical element to our ‘Continuous Improvement Programme’ and we use courses provided by nationally recognised training bodies to ensure industry standards are met or exceeded.

Our commitment begins with in-house training to ensure that all operatives have the appropriate skills to meet the requirements of their job, and we continuously monitor employee training requirements with the aid of a Skills Matrix.

We know that unless we invest in the development of our people, we cannot continue to set market leading standards of quality and service.

We operate an Apprenticeship training scheme for Electrical Installation training, as it is often the most appropriate way to ensure we have a reliable field of electrical staff available. The apprenticeships are delivered in partnership with local colleges and recognised training organisations, and provide regular liaison with the training providers and the apprentice throughout the period of training. Many of our trained apprentices have continued to be employed by the company and are encouraged to progress to management positions whenever possible.
